Concept
'Combat' today is the implicit constitution of our daily life. Day in and day out
we are entangled with conflicts; struggling to cope up with aspirations, inabilities,
passion and ambition. This kaleidoscope of the survival psychedelia is a direct function
of our combative lifestyle.
My paintings are an attempt to touch, feel, and experience the Contours and Texture, Edges and Depth of an eternal quest called life. The spatula of the dust and heat, the grime and crowd of the city I belong to, changes my tone and texture everyday. A process that is an integral part of my paintings. Albeit with a subtle presence of gap in-between me and my paintings. In my effort to capture the myriad hues of the physical and metaphysical, I endeavoured to reflect the smell of sweat, taste of tears and scream of
my cry in my paintings…
Crafted to expose the multifarious melodrama of their inner-self—mutilated gestures, distorted features, captivating expressions, ambiguous forms juxtaposed with bold vibrant color patches—accentuated with minute textures reflect the inner combat, you, me and all those viewing my works are going through.
Blending the coded existence with didactic forms, layering the expected with the unexpected—exploring the multifaceted paradoxes of daily dirt and grime—it's time
I invite you to take the first step in the journey of a million miles—explore life...
within you, without you.
